Tesla Inc – Back on watch this morning after yesterday afternoon’s impressive rally the followed a tweet suggesting during the company’s annual shareholder meeting one of the most popular questions to be asked was regarding the possibility of a dividend. During the meeting, citing high cost of living in California, CEO Elon Musk announced the company would move its headquarters to Texas. Musk also said “there are no current plans for a dividend.”

Camber Energy – Coming off another impressive volume session yesterday, gapping back above $2 this morning. Yesterday a securities filing showed the company isn’t considering a reverse stock split at this time. Camber said it has 249.6 million common shares issued and outstanding, with an increase since February reflecting an institutional investor’s conversions of Series C convertible preferred stock to common shares.

Vaxart Inc – Trading sharply higher after releasing positive results from its oral Covid-19 vaccine. Vaxart said that investigational oral tablet vaccine reduced airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus in hamsters. Preclinical study, led by Duke University, also showed that oral vaccine platform activated immune responses in mucosal regions.

Chinese Stocks – Showing strength on relatively low volume this morning, the group bounced back yesterday on reports that President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping will have a virtual summit in 2021. This summit will be a great opportunity to ease tensions between the world’s two largest economies, and Chinese stocks are responding accordingly. Charlie Munger, VP of Berkshire Hathaway also helped the cause in an SEC filing late Wednesday that showed he had doubled his position in Alibaba Group. BABA, BIDU, JD, PDD, NIO, XPEV.

Sundial Growers Inc – Announced a deal to buy North American alcohol retailer Alcanna Inc for about $346 million in cash and stock. CLIQ’s liquor business provides SNDL with stable cash generation through a mature and proven business model with trailing 12-month free cash flow of $16.4 mln on a built-out retail platform. The company estimates the eal to deliver more than $15 mln in additional EBITDA on an annual run-rate basis through synergies and other strategic initiatives.
