MEME.STOCKS 0.82% Meme Stocks – The ever growing listed of highly shorted stocks is back at again this morning, led by AMC shares Wednesday that rallied more than 95% at their highs the trading frenzy quickly spread through the majority of symbols with a short interest above 10%. The focus on stocks with a high short interest skyrocketed in January when the Reddit crowd helped launch a GameStop rally. There is some speculation this time that hedge funds are trying to frontrun some of the latest Reddit-inspired breakouts. NY 5.04% Virgin Galactic – Trading higher premarket after announcing a new contract for human-tended research spaceflight. The company has teamed up with IIAS Researcher Kellie Gerardi to fly as payload specialist on its first ever manned research mission. AI.NY -10.99% C3AI Inc – Reported a quarterly adjusted loss of 24 cents per share for the quarter, the mean expectation of ten analysts for the quarter was for a loss of 27 cents per share. Q4 revenue of $52.3 mln tops Wall Street estimates from strong demand from enterprises for AI software, AI stock had closed up 6.1% ahead of results, extending gains from Tuesday after co announced 5-year renewal of deal with European oil major Shell. TSLA.NQ -2.31% Tesla Inc – Down another 2% in early trading extending a 2 session selloff, shares of the electric-car maker are set to open at their lowest level in more than one week, Chinese market regulators say the company to recall 734 imported Model 3 vehicles in China. The move comes after a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration filing said on Wednesday that TSLA will recall nearly 6,000 U.S. vehicles over potentially loose brake caliper bolt. FEYE.NQ -10.34% FireEye Inc – The U.S. cybersecurity firm announced late Wednesday it will sell its products business, including the FireEye name, to a consortium led by private-equity firm Symphony Technology Group for $1.2 billion in cash. TELL.NQ 26.79% Tellurian Inc – U.S. liquefied natural gas developer Tellurian Inc TELL.O said on Thursday it signed a 10-year agreement with Vitol, the world’s largest independent energy trader, for 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG. The agreement is valued at about $12 billion in revenue over the deal period. |
