Tesla Inc – Trading below $600 for the third straight premarket, the company announced it has called off plans to build the Model S Plaid+, a longer-range version of its high-end sedan, according to Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk. Musk tweeted on Sunday that the Plaid+ will be canceled because the Plaid version of the Model S is “just so good.” Tesla had been taking refundable deposits for the car for months and billing it as offering more than 520 miles (837 kilometers) of range.

Biogen Inc – Sharply higher premarket for the second straight session, we learned Friday the U.S. FDA is set to decide on whether to approve company’s controversial Alzheimer’s disease drug. If approved, Biogen’s aducanumab would be the first treatment in more than a decade to treat the mind-wasting condition, U.S. regulators have been under pressure from patient advocacy groups and some doctors to approve the drug.

Big Tech – Little reaction in premarket trading after a weekend G7 meeting resulted in the agreement of a landmark global minimum corporate tax deal on Saturday. Shares of Facebook,, Apple, Microsoft, Google-parent Alphabet were down between 0.4% and 0.6% after the Group of Seven (G7) advanced economies agreed to back a minimum global tax rate of at least 15%. Square Inc – Shares of the financial services and digital payments company are back on watch this morning after announcing intentions to invest USD 5 million in a solar-powered Bitcoin mining project at one of the US mining sites of Bitcoin infrastructure startup Blockstream. The stocks rallied midday Friday following a tweet from founder Jack Dorsey suggesting the company is considering building a hardware wallet for Bitcoin, Dorsey said “If we do it, we would build it entirely in the open, from software to hardware design, and in collaboration with the community,”
