Virgin Galactic – Said late Wednesday that the Federal Aviation Administration has cleared it to resume launches after an investigation into why its spaceship veered off course while descending during a July flight with founder Richard Branson aboard. The company said it was advised by the FAA that corrective actions proposed by Virgin Galactic have been accepted.

Bed Bath & Beyond – Reporteda fiscal second-quarter loss of $73.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier. The Union, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 72 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 4 cents per share. The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The home goods retailer posted revenue of $1.98 billion in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.06 billion.

Lordstown Motors – Higher on light volume premarket after Bloomberg reported its nearing a deal to sell its Ohio car plant to Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology. Earlier this week brokerages Goldman Sachs and BTIG cut the stock’s PT to a median of $5 — 36.5% less than the current price.
