Twitter Inc – Reported first-quarter results that marginally beat analyst estimates, with revenue guidance that fell short. The company reported adjusted earnings of 16 cents a share on revenue of $1.04 billion. Analysts expected Twitter to report earnings of 14 cents on revenue of $1.03 billion. The company said it expects second-quarter revenue in the range of $980 million to $1.08 billion. The midrange of $1.03 billion was below analyst estimates of $1.06 billion. Twitter’s total number of monetizable daily users grew by 7 million from the fourth quarter to 199 million but fell shy of analysts’ expectations of 200 million.

Microvision Inc – The lidar scanning tech company that has recently garnered the attention of Reddit’s WSB forum is down sharply in the premarket after saying Q1 revenue declined to $0.5 mln from $1.5 mln in the year-ago quarter. This was below the mean $0.6 mln revenue estimate from two analysts that cover the company. It reported a net loss of $6.2 mln, or $0.04/share, vs a loss of $4.9 mln, or $0.04/shr a year ago.

Apple Inc – Down 1% premarket after yesterday’s earnings slide. EU regulators have slapped the company with antitrust charges against music streaming rivals, accusing the company of distorting competition in the mmarket, siding with Spotify in a case that could lead to a hefty fine and changes in the iPhone maker’s lucrative business practices. The preliminary findings start a process that will allow Apple and Spotify to respond. If the case is pursued, EU regulators could demand concessions, and even impose a fine of up to 10% of Apple’s global turnover, or as much as $27 billion, although they rarely levy the maximum penalty.

Skyworks Solutions Inc – The company reported profits of $2.37 per share, $1.03 higher than the same quarter last year when the company reported EPS of $1.34. Profits of $2.35 per share were anticipated by analysts providing estimates for the quarter. Wall Street expected results to range from $2.31 to $2.42 per share, with a forecasted mean of $2.35 per share. The company reported revenue of $ 1.17 billion , which is higher than the estimated $1.15 billion.

Nio delivered 20060 vehicles in the quarter up more than 400% YoY, the company also said it sees Q2 deliveries between 21000-22000 vehicles.

Western Digital Corp – Set to open near a 3 year high up more than 4% after earnings, the company posted Q3 adj. EPS of $1.02 on rev of $4.14 bln, easily beating estimates for profit of $0.68 on rev of $3.97 bln. WDC said strong performance from it’s gaming, consumer markets and lower costs offset a 19% rev decline in data center devices & solutions segment. The company said it sees Q4 rev of $4.40 bln-$4.60 bln, with adj. profit of $1.30/shr to $1.60/shr, much higher than analyst forecasts. J.P. Morgan raises stock PT by $17 to $85 on future higher-density HDDs and penetration into enterprise SSDs.

United States Steel Corp – Reported quarterly adjusted earnings of $1.08​​ per share for the quarter ending in March. The mean expectation of eleven analysts for the quarter was for earnings of 91 cents per share. Revenue rose 33.3% to $3.66 billion from a year ago​; analysts expected $3.68 billion. United States Steel Corp’s reported EPS for the quarter was 35 cents​. The mean earnings estimate of analysts had risen by about 118.4% in the last three months.​

ShiftPixy Inc – Thursday’s high-flyer is actively traded in the premarket again this morning, the staffing services company said it will look to raise a total of $1.25 billion through four blank-check firms, according to regulatory filings on Thursday. The special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), TechStackery Inc, Vital Human Capital Inc and Industrial Human Capital Inc, are looking to raise $250 million each through the sale of shares and warrants on the New York Stock Exchange, while Insurity Capital Inc has filed to raise around $500 million.
