Tesla Inc – Announced plans to add facilities at its Shanghai factory to repair and reproduce key components such as electric motors and battery cells, a document submitted by Tesla to Shanghai authorities shows. China, the world’s biggest car market, sold over 1.3 million electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles last year. Tesla sold more than 35,000 locally-made vehicles last month in China and is exporting China-made cars to Europe. The company will report quarterly results aftermarket tonight.

Crypto Stocks – Back on watch this morning higher as a group along with BTC prices that are trading up nearly 8% after last week’s slide. BTC is on course to snap five straight days of losses; some losses were due to fears that U.S. President Joe Biden’s plan to hike capital gains taxes would dent investments in digital assets. SI, RIOT, MARA, SOS, FTFT, COIN, MSTR are all up between 3%-6% in early trading.

MicroVision Inc – Up another 8% in early trading Monday after last week’s rally as the Lidar company remained the focus of Reddit’s WallStreetBets forum. Volume in Microvision, which develops laser scanning technology, was 6x higher than the 50-DMA in Friday’s session, according to data updated aftermarket Friday 17.93% of the float is shorted.

Moderna Inc – Announced it has entered into an agreement with France’s Sanofi for fill/finish sterile manufacturing services and supply packaging for up to 200M doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. beginning in September 2021.

Ocugen Inc – On the move sharply higher again this morning in the premarket, the company announced plans to sell 10 mln common stock at $10 apiece to healthcare-focused institutional investors. The sale price represents a 4% premium to stock’s last close; Offering is ~5% of stock’s outstanding shares. The Pennsylvania-based co plans to sell 100 mln doses of India’s state-backed COVID-19 vaccine COVAXIN in the United States this year.

Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp – Super Group, the parent company of online bookmaker Betway, announced late Sunday it has agreed to go public through a merger with blank-check acquisition firm Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp (SEAH) at a valuation of around $5 billion.

JPMorgan Chase & Co – Multiple reports this morning are suggesting the bank is preparing to offer an actively managed bitcoin fund to certain clients, becoming the latest and largest of the big banks to to offer such a service. According to the reports through CoinDesk, the JPMorgan bitcoin fund could roll out as soon as this summer.

Apple Inc – Announced an acceleration of its US investments, with plans to make new contributions of more than $430 billion and add 20,000 new jobs across the country over the next five years. Over the past three years, Apple’s contributions in the US have significantly outpaced the company’s original five-year goal of $350 billion set in 2018.
