Rivian Automotive – Set to open lower for the third straight session, Friday we learned Ford Motor Co had called off plans to jointly develop an electric vehicle with RIVN. The decision came after Ford said in October “Rivian is a strategic investment and we are exploring ways for potential collaboration,” according to Reuters.
Tesla Inc – Higher premarket, late Friday CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter “Model S Plaid is sickkkk!!!!” Musk then responded to a question of when it would come to China, saying “Probably around March.” The $131,100 Model S Plaid features 1,020 horsepower, a 17-inch touchscreen, a steering yoke and has an estimated EPA-rated range of up to 390 miles.
Apple Inc – Shares are set to extend the “Apple Car” rally from late last week trading in fresh all-time-high territory premarket. Uber Technologies – Uber’s delivery and takeout unit has partnered with cannabis retailer Tokyo Smoke to allow online cannabis orders through Uber Eats in Ontario, Canada, marking the ride-hailing company’s first foray into the business, a company spokesperson said. Uber, which already delivers liquor through its Eats unit, has had its sights set on the burgeoning cannabis market for some time now. Its CEO Dara Khosrowshahi told media in April the company will definitely consider delivering cannabis when the legal coast is clear in the U.S.
Astra Space Inc – The latest entrant to the space race, said its rocket LV0007 reached orbit for the first time on the weekend, the company said on Twitter Saturday its rocket launch was live streamed by NASA, the LV0007 was launched from Kodiak, Alaska and reached an altitude of 500 km. Earlier this month, ASTR reported a Q3 loss of 6 cents per share.
Roblox Corp – Back on watch trading higher premarket for the 7th straight session, the stock has been among the biggest benefactors to Facebook’s Metaverse announcement. The shares have gained nearly 80% since the beginning of the month, multiple positive analysts moves on the stock have also helped boost sentiment.
Activision Blizzard – Lower premarket after a WSJ report suggests CEO Bobby Kotick would consider leaving his job if he can’t fix culture problems at the video game make. Kotick is said to have made those comments to senior managers after he and the company faced criticism for its handling of sexual misconduct allegations.
PainReform Ltd – Micro cap pharmaceuticals company trading higher coming off positive earnings late last week, there has been increased social media attention on the stock which has a 4.9m share free float.
Camber Energy – The retail favorite is up more 20% premarket to a one-month high on heavy volume with no significant news catalyst. A Fidelity Research report showed the shares among most traded stocks on Friday along with electric vehicle makers Lucid, Rivian, Tesla.
