Reopening Stocks – Under pressure as a group early Monday, we saw cruise operators, retailers and individual airlines mostly higher last week on continued positive vaccine rollout momentum. AMC Entertainment also had a strong week after the cinema operator said last Monday it plans to have the majority of its theaters back open by the end of the month. Crypto Stocks – Higher as a group to start the week with BTC prices holding above $56000 Monday, Morgan Stanley has become the latest major US bank to jump on the crypto bandwagon saying late Friday in an internal memo, it would launch access to three funds to allow its high net worth clients exposure to the crypto. Support.com shares meanwhile have doubled premarket after announcing plans to take Bitcoin miner Greenidge Generation public – RIOT, MARA, SOS, MSTR, SI, BTCC.B, SPRT, EBON
Snap Inc – Trading lower on a BofA downgrade this morning, the bank cut its PT on the stock to $67 with a “Neutral” rating. Last week Snap settled with the Federal Trade Commission on charges it misled customers. The company will have to create a privacy program but will avoid admitting any wrongdoing.
AstraZeneca PLC – Up more than 2% in early trading after data released from a most recent US based trial of the company’s covid-19 vaccine showed a 79% efficacy rate and no increased risk of thrombosis or blood clots among participants.
Clovis Oncology Inc – Actively traded for the second straight session in the premarket, the company announced on Friday it achieved positive top-line data from its Phase III trial showing its flagship product Rubraca fulfilled the study’s top objective in ovarian cancer patients. The trial showed the drug significantly improves progression-free survival for patients with specific forms of advanced ovarian cancer versus standard-of-care chemotherapy, ranging from patients whose cancers are fully responsive to platinum-based chemotherapy to those with platinum-resistant forms.
Tesla Inc – Up 4% premarket after Friday’s slide, the Chinese govt banned Tesla vehicles from military property pointing to concerns over internal cameras in the cars. Meanwhile Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest Fund has placed a $3000 PT on the stock saying it will reach the level by 2025.
Nio Inc – Looking to extend Friday’s gains trading up more than 2% this morning, the company tested important daily support levels friday and rallied into the close. There was also multiple positive analysts mentions last week.
Draftkings Inc – Trading higher this morning after Loop Capital repeated its call for DraftKings as “top pick,” noting that New York is poised to legalize online gambling and that the state’s market will be less competitive for DraftKings than New Jersey.
Roblox Corp – Up 2% premarket after showing early relative strength in Friday’s session. Analysts at Stifel have initiated coverage on the stock with a “Buy” rating and an $85 PT.
Seneca Biopharma – Announced multiple executive changes Friday, there has been multiple reports the in recent days the microcap biopharma company is also a possible buyout target.
