Nike Inc – Shares of athletic apparel maker are down this morning after it delivered mixed Q3 results aftermarket yesterday, the company posted Q3 revenue of $10.36 bln, missing estimates, hurt by 11% decline in North America sales due to container shortages and U.S. port congestion. NKE also forecast “low-to-mid-teens” full-year revenue growth, falling just short of the 15.9% increase in sales that analysts were expecting.

FedEx Corp – Said quarterly profit jumped more than expected on higher prices and surging volume from pandemic-fueled e-commerce deliveries during the holiday shipping season. Fiscal third-quarter adjusted net income soared by 153 percent from a year earlier to US$939 million, or US$3.47 per share, beating expectations. Revenue for the quarter grew by 23 percent to US$21.5 billion, boosted by a half billion holiday package deliveries and coronavirus vaccines shipments.

Tesla Inc – Under pressure in early trading for the second straight session, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating a second crash this week that saw a Tesla vehicle crash into a parked car. We learned on Tuesday the driver of a Tesla Model Y who smashed into a state trooper’s cruiser near Michigan was using Autopilot, Tesla’s advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), at the time of the crash, This morning China’s military announced it will not allow Tesla vehicles on military housing complexes over concerns with interior cameras.
