The company had in March been subject to a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation, after Hindenburg Research took a short position in the firm and accused it of using fake orders to raised capital.

DiDi Global – Trading lower on news China has sent state officials from at least seven departments to the ride-hailing giant for cybersecurity review, as regulatory pressure intensifies. Regulators include the China Cyberspace Administration (CAC), Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of State Security, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Natural Resources, State Taxation Administration and State Administration for Market Regulation. Didi probe comes as China calls for its tech industry to impose stricter measures to ensure secure storage of user data. CAC launched cyber security investigation into Didi just two days after co raised $4.4 bln from its U.S. IPO, and ordered co to remove its apps in China.
