Tesla Inc – Set to open lower for the second straight session, Elon Musk said in a tweet the company will accept dogecoin for merchandise such as apparel, belt buckles, mini models of its vehicles on a test basis. A separate SEC filing showed Elon Musk has now sold almost $13 billion in Tesla shares—and he’s far from done.

Ford Motor Co – Also lower for the second straight session, close competitor Toyota Motor Corp said on Tuesday it has committed 8 trillion yen ($70 billion) to electrify its automobiles by 2030, half of it to develop a battery electric vehicle (BEV) line-up, as it looks to tap a growing market for zero-emission cars.

Pfizer Inc – Active premarket after the company updated data on its covid vaccine saying its latest results show a 70% protection against omicron, the company said it antiviral pill also cuts the risk of hospitalisation or death by up to 89% in high-risk patients, according to final trial results.

Beyond Meat – Shares of vegan meat maker are higher premarket after brokerage Piper Sandler upgrades the stock to “neutral” from “underweight”; raises PT to $64 from $61, still lower than median PT of $72. The note saying, a nationwide launch of McDonald’s McPlant burger in the U.S. “appears to be coming” in about three months. McPlant, for which BYND is the sole supplier, has been tested in eight U.S. stores, with brokerage BTIG saying it performed “exceptionally well” in its locations.

AMC, GME – Both sharply lower premarket coming off Monday’s declines. The one time “meme” stocks tumbled 15% and 14% respectively to start the week. AMC shares have been under pressure since last week when CEO Adam Aron sold all his holdings in AMC while CFO Sean Goodman sold the bulk of his AMC stock.

Apple Inc – BofA Global Research upgrades iPhone maker to “buy” from “neutral”; bumps PT to $210 from $160. Brokerage says AR/VR products from AAPL will lead to stronger iPhone upgrade cycle in FY 2023 and co will be able to charge more for apps and AR/VR headsets driving better earnings. The stock failed to reach the $3T market cap level Monday after 5 straight positive sessions.

Luminar Technologies – Said it plans to buy back at least $250 million in common stock. The Orlando, Fla., autonomous-vehicle sensor and Lidar technology company said it expects to begin repurchases after the market opens Tuesday, adding that will use proceeds from a proposed private financing to fund the buyback.

Galera Therapeutics – Shares of drug developer Galera Therapeutics jumped 81% to $2.50 premarket- its highest in nearly two months. The company announced corrected positive results from its late-stage study of lead drug candidate, Avasopasem, for the treatment of radiotherapy-induced severe oral mucositis (SOM) in patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer.
