Apple Inc – Back on watch trading higher for the 6th straight session and as the most-iconic of all tech companies stands a good chance of reaching $3 trillion in market capitalization this week. Apple finished Friday with a valuation of $2.944 trillion, so all Wall Street needs to do now is add $56 billion to the iPhone maker’s stock value and Apple (AAPL) will stand alone in the $3 trillion club. Apple was the first company to hit $1 trillion in market cap in 2018–or, 42 years after Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded the tech giant, it then took Apple just until 2020 to reach $2 trillion in market cap.

Ford Motor Co – Back on watch after Friday’s impressive rally that followed an announced that it expects to triple the output of its all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV to over 200,000 units per year by 2023 for North America and Europe. Ford said earlier this month it expects to be the world’s second largest electric vehicle manufacturer within two years, with annual production capacity of nearly 600,000. Ford’s optimism stems from increasing demand for its new EV, the Ford F-150 Lightning pickup, with retail reservations approaching 200,000.

Rivian Automotive Inc – MotorTrend on Monday named the all-electric Rivian R1T the publication’s 2022 truck of the year, beating out other pickups from Ford, General Motors and Hyundai. Motor Trend called the R1T “the most remarkable pickup truck we’ve ever driven” in a release announcing the award. The prestigious title and accompanying “Golden Caliper” award are highly sought by automakers globally every year.

Harley-Davidson Inc – LiveWire reporting Monday it would go public through a merger with a blank-check firm, in a deal valuing Harley-Davidson’s electric motorcycle division at $1.77 billion including debt.

Lucid Group Inc – Sharply higher premarket after the announcement late Friday that as part of the annual reconstitution of the Nasdaq-100 index, Lucid Group and five other companies would be incorporated into the benchmark index next year. ABNB, FTNT, PANW, ZS, DDOG will also all be added.
