GameStop Corp – The videogame retailer’s shares fell ~7% to $281.50 premarket, set to snap three straight sessions winning streak, the stock has almost doubled in the past month, approaching January highs. GME disclosed that the U.S. SEC has requested documents and information related to an investigation into that trading, along with trading in shares of other companies. The company also said it may sell up to 5 million new shares. GME reported net sales for the quarter ending May 1 jumped 25% to $1.28 bln, above analysts’ average estimate of $1.16 bln, EPS meanwhile beat by $.11/share. The company also named former Amazon executive Matt Furlong as its new CEO, while CHWY founder Ryan Cohen remains Chairman of the Board.
